Fact-Checking Policy

People use Gold Jewellery Design before spending real money on gold, so we take accuracy seriously. This page explains what we check, where our facts come from and how we fix errors.

What we check

  • Purity and hallmarking. Karat percentages (24k, 22k, 18k, 14k), hallmark marks and HUID rules are checked against the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and its published hallmarking rules.
  • Tax and pricing method. GST on gold jewellery and the way a bill is built (weight, the day’s rate for the karat, making charges, GST) are checked against official tax notifications and standard jeweller billing.
  • Weights and sizes. Gram weights on designs are approximate ranges based on typical pieces of that size and style. They are guides, not promises.
  • Names and traditions. Regional names such as nath, rakhdi, chik, jimiki or kasu are reviewed for correct spelling and use, and customs are described as practices that vary by family and region.

What we do not publish

  • Rupee prices or daily gold rates, because they change every day and would soon be wrong.
  • Claims that a design is lucky, required or unlucky.
  • Brand comparisons or paid rankings presented as advice.

Images

Design images are original reference illustrations made for this site. They show ideas, not products from a particular shop, and the real piece from your jeweller may differ in weight and finish.

Corrections
